Each time we get back together MININNI steals from me, makes threats to intimidate me, and kills my self-esteem by saying “you are stupid, you don’t know anything you need to go back to school, you will never have a stable relationship if you don’t learn with me.” MININNI uses my co-dependence for his good fortune by using my fear of being alone, he often states “if you don’t let me play poker or go fishing I will leave you again, or you will be alone forever if you don’t fix yourself with me.” MININNI often says I am unstable, eccentric, bipolar, and borderline; he uses this to make me think I am crazy and can only get better if I am with him.

Is the question should you get a restraining order? If that is the only way that you can stay away from Minini I would say yes.

No RO for him - but counseling for you. You have already answered your own questions. It no longer matters what anyone else says, it’s a matter of when will you have the guts to stand up for yourself. And from what it sounds like, you dont have the guts to get a RO.
