All poker sites I know allow to play with play money - but some of the poker sites do not accept US based players because of the gambling law.

Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker allow US players, and you can play with real money or play money. The are both good sites
with plenty of players online - Full Tilt with more than 45.000 players online at peak time.

Just for information and for the answer above: Online poker is not Illegal!
Millions of U.S. citizens play poker and gamble online every day and not a single one of them has ever been charged, fined or prosecuted.
On September 30 2006, a new Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed. Does this change anything?
The new bill does not make online poker illegal.
The bill does not change existing gaming laws.
The bill does not touch the players

Only site I use is absolutepoker.com but all the poker sites are cracking down cause of the stupid *** greedy US goverment made it illegal…
