Can an American citizen open a bank account in Canada online?

I am wondering if I can open a bank account in Canada Costa Rico or any other country that will not restrict deposits or withdrawls form online poker rooms

   I think no, but you can still play online poker. All you have to do is open an account at Epassporte, then deposit with your debit card or whatever you have, deposit with epassporte into Fulltilt and play. Use the same method for withdrawing.    This all seems way too complicated to play poker online, and believe me, there are easier methods to getting your money to poker sites. I would recommend using an eWallet…most of the popular sites today take ePassporte. It’s as easy as signing up for a Paypal account. Another method of depositing to poker sites is to use a Visa All Access Gift Card, which are available at most grocery stores and some convenience stores, drug stores, etc. Note, “Green Dot” and “Vanilla” prepaid cards do not work, so it would be important to get the All Access Card.
