440 pound stinky.asked to leave

djc1175 asked:

An article this morning in the newspaper said in Atlantic City at the Borgata casino (rather highbrow place) a man that weighed 440 lbs was asked to leave because of body odor. He was in a poker room which means he had to pay to play, he might have paid up to $1000 to be in that room.
Where they right in throwing him out?
This guy had been playing 17 hours, that was his excuse for smelling. He asked for a room so he could “freshen up” and was refused.

If the smell kept other people from loosing thier money, the place would say yes.

They have the right to refuse business to anyone. I commend them for doing that. I can’t stand rude people who don’t bathe. It’s offensive and rude.

Not because of his weight but if his body odor was offensive to the other players that pay to be in there I would say they had a right to ask him to leave.

Did they smell him before or after he paid his money?

Something like that is pretty evident. Seems to me that they scammed him.

In other words, he smelled great when he was coughing up his cash…

I think that this is shameful for people to do to someone.

Just because someone is large does not mean they have to have poor Hygeine.
They may have lost his money, but at least they didn’t lose the money of all the other players who might have refused to stick around due to the foul smell.
There should be a by-law that if you stink, you are not allowed to be in public. It is selfish to stink like that.

Those people know they are stinky too but procrastination and poor eating habits made them into the unhealthy blobs they are. Yes they were right.

it might not been right to refuse him a room to freshen up but it was time for him to go.
